How does the meter calculate the cost?
Each attendee costs their salary times 1.35 (the fully-loaded multiplier for employer taxes, benefits, and overhead), spread over 1,720 working hours a year. The meter multiplies that hourly rate by the headcount and accrues it per second while it runs.
Can I put it on the meeting-room screen?
That is what it is for. Hit Fullscreen and the meter fills the display; the screen is kept awake while it runs, and the running total also ticks in the browser tab title if you switch away.
Does pausing lose the total?
No. Pause holds the total and the clock; Resume continues from where it stopped. Reset starts over. Changing attendees or salary mid-meeting applies from that moment on.
