Honest math, on purpose

The formula is deliberately simple and printed on the page: salary × 1.35 fully-loaded, over 1,720 working hours a year, with recurring meetings projected across 46 working weeks. No hidden weighting, nothing inflated for drama. The number is startling enough on its own.

Frequently asked questions

How is the meeting cost calculated?
Each attendee costs their salary times 1.35 (the fully-loaded multiplier covering employer taxes, benefits, and overhead), spread over 1,720 working hours a year. That hourly rate times the headcount times the duration is the per-meeting cost. Recurring meetings project to a year using 230 workdays, 46 weeks, 23 fortnights, or 11 months.
What does "fully loaded" mean?
An employee costs more than their salary: employer taxes, pension and insurance contributions, equipment, office space. A 1.35 multiplier is a common, conservative estimate for that total cost. If your organization uses a different factor, the salary field accepts any number, so you can bake your own multiplier in.
Can I enter monthly salaries and other currencies?
Yes. Toggle the salary field between per year and per month (monthly counts as twelve payments a year), and pick euros, dollars, or pounds. The currency is detected from your browser locale and every number is formatted in your own conventions.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. Everything is computed in your browser; nothing you enter leaves the page. Your setup is kept in your own browser storage so the calculator and the live meter remember it, and a shared link encodes the numbers in the link itself.
How do I share the result?
Download the receipt as a PNG, copy a link that reproduces the exact calculation, or use your device share sheet. The receipt is designed to be screenshotted too.
